At AccessPoint RI, we empower children and adults with differing abilities to claim their right to dignity, respect, education, equality, and choice throughout their lives. We envision an inclusive and diverse community where every person will have the opportunity to thrive. The agency began as a small group of parents who banded together to advocate for more opportunities for their children, and we just celebrated 60 years of service to the Rhode Island community.

We form partnerships with individuals and families, assisting people to pursue what is important to them. Whether it’s a family seeking assistance to optimize a child’s development, an adult who may need support to live independently, or an individual who wants job training to find employment, AccessPoint’s knowledgeable and caring staff is there to help each person live a fuller life. We own and operate the Cornerstone School for children with disabilities. We offer day enrichment programs and community based activities, children's clinical services, residential support in group homes and independent living settings, a shared living program, employment training and supported employment services.
