RIOT RI is a volunteer-based non-profit that uses music creation, critical thinking and collaborative relationships to foster collective empowerment and the development of healthy identities in girls, women, trans, and gender-expansive youth and adults.
What We Do
RIOT RI is a volunteer run organization offering empowering music education programs, camps, and workshops specifically designed for women, transgender, and gender-expansive individuals. Through flagship initiatives like a week-long Youth Rock Camp and the weekend-long Adult Rock Camp, RIOT RI provides hands-on instrument instruction, band formation opportunities, and collaborative songwriting experiences in a safe, creative environment. RIOT RI actively engages the local community through seasonal group instrument lessons, specialized workshops, private instruction, and fundraisers that celebrate self-expression and foster supportive artistic networks.
