BIG NAZO is an international touring troupe & creature-making studio that has spawned a steady flow of strangely irresistible foam-fabricated creature characters that push the boundaries of puppet, mask & costume design. The BIG NAZO LAB hosts workshops, internships and creative collaborations with local student & community organizations. The BIG NAZO performing group has appeared at festive extravaganzas throughout the US, Canada and overseas, stretching as far and wide as Singapore, Scotland, Portugal, Japan, Italy & China.

BIG NAZO's unique brand of audience interactive improvisation combines diverse and seemingly unconnected visual elements to create spectacular “happenings” that manifest as stage shows, street parades and creature dance parties throughout the US and overseas. The group mission is to promote interactive community building & public performance by creating processions & environments featuring creature characters that inspire interest in the unknown and unexpected elements in otherwise "normal spaces" The wide range of BIG NAZO’s creative activities and the multiple factors involved in manifesting them in the “real world” require participation of collaborators who have a passion for supporting community events and teaming up with multiple stakeholders committed to spreading wonder and joy
