Who We Are

The Museum of Fine Tribal Art (MoFTA), is a newly established 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Rhode Island. The museum began as a personal collection—The Justin Bibee Collection—and has since grown into a broader initiative aimed at securing a permanent museum space dedicated to preserving and sharing tribal art from around the world. Today, our collection includes pieces of fine tribal art from Africa, Asia, Oceania, and the Americas. As we work toward establishing a permanent home for the museum, we are committed to making this collection accessible to our community. Through meaningful partnerships with public libraries, we are actively exhibiting works from our collection across the state.

What We Do

The Museum of Fine Tribal Art inspires curiosity about the world's cultures by collecting, conserving, and exhibiting works of ethnographic art.
