Our small, thriving independent elementary school on the East Side of Providence is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Business Office Associate (Finance & Operations) to join our administrative team. This position is ideal for someone with an accounting or bookkeeping background who enjoys solving problems, learning new skills, and helping a mission-driven organization thrive.


Working closely with our Chief Financial Officer, the successful candidate will assist with payroll, financial recordkeeping, budgeting, purchasing & payables, tuition and grants, vendor coordination, facilities projects, and other operational functions that help our school run smoothly.


Qualifications

Experience in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, business administration, operations, or a related field

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Commitment to professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality


Experience in schools or nonprofits is welcome but not required. Most importantly, we are seeking someone who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and is excited to grow professionally. If you meet many - but not all - of the qualifications above, we encourage you to apply.
