The Development Officer manages major gifts and sponsorships, building lasting relationships with donors who support our mission. You’ll work with the Executive Director to set goals and oversee a portfolio of individual, foundation, and business prospects through every step—from research and cultivation to solicitation and stewardship.
This role involves making face-to-face asks, developing donor strategies and materials, and helping our supporters achieve their philanthropic goals through Bike Newport. You’ll use donor databases and tracking systems to maintain organized stewardship while collaborating with board members and staff on their solicitations. The position also supports our broader development efforts, including grants and events.
Success comes through clear communication of our mission, strategic relationship building, and consistent follow-through that energizes both team members and prospects.
