AMERSA is dedicated to uniting the full spectrum of disciplines advancing substance use and addiction care. We support clinicians, researchers, educators, policymakers, and those with lived and living experience, fostering cross-disciplinary dialogue, sharing knowledge, and strengthening evidence-informed practice. From championing inclusion to bridging research and real-world care, AMERSA builds the human and intellectual connections that define the future of substance use care: compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in shared purpose. We also collectively respond to the evolving needs of individuals and communities impacted by substance use.
What We Do
AMERSA’s mission is to improve health and well-being through multidisciplinary leadership in substance use education, research, clinical care and policy.
